Smokefree law - football stadiums

Many sports stadiums are already smokefree.

When smokefree legislation comes into force, only parts of stadiums that are enclosed or substantially enclosed will be required to be smokefree.

The Football League has decided that smoking will not be permitted throughout all the confines of stadium from July 2007 onwards.

They are going further than the legislation requires in order to attract more families and young people.
