A FREE workshop has been organised by the local NHS stop smoking service as part of Brighton’s Fringe Festival. It’s on Thursday 8 May at Brighton Town Hall, Bartholomew Square, 5.15pm-7.15pm, and includes free refreshments.
Anyone who wants to beat their addiction is welcome to come along to this free and friendly event. There’s no need to book. We will be able to help,” says Mike Dixon, a specialist stop smoking adviser.
“Smokers who stop now could have more money for a summer break. Some smokers spend over £2,000 a year on cigarettes – money that could pay for a relaxing holiday or a great shopping spree, at the same time as improving their health. Smoking can cost over £100,000 before a smoker succumbs to ill health as the result of their addiction,” he adds.
For more information about the workshop and free stop smoking courses for groups, individuals and employers contact the local NHS stop smoking service – telephone 01273 267397, email stopsmoking@southdowns.nhs.uk or visit www.smokefreeeastsussex.org.uk
